GOD'S PERFECT TIMING AND "THE SECRET"

A while ago I grabbed hold of what is to me another life changing lesson from Dr. Peebles in a very few words, and this may be a bit paraphrased but it’s profound, “Relax, release, and surrender to God’s perfect timing.” This whole story is about GOD’S PERFECT TIMING.

My life’s dream for as long as I can remember has been to be a healer, the very best healer it is possible for me to be and to heal the many rather than the few. To that end I have studied, practiced, meditated, talked to Dr. Peebles endlessly and done whatever I was led or advised to do. During the journey there have been many times, too many to count, that it seemed nothing was happening, that things were going nowhere.  I know these are times of growth, times when God is preparing you and everything around you for your next step, but still sometimes I get just a little bit impatient. Hmmm, maybe some of you can relate.

I was in one of these periods, stewing, wondering if anything was ever going to happen, when I heard Dr. Peebles say during one of his lectures, “Relax, release, and surrender to God’s perfect timing.” WHOA! Talk about GOD’S PERFECT TIMING! So I relaxed, released, and surrendered to God’s perfect timing and it was absolutely beautiful. Everything was falling into place, things couldn’t have been better. Everything was going along according to God’s plan, it was so easy. Then…

The movie “The Secret” came out. I didn’t pay much attention to it, I knew almost nothing about it, and figured it probably offered nothing that we don’t already know as is the case with most of those kinds of movies. Anyway, it found it’s way into my hands and I decided to watch it to see what all the shouting was about. I watched it and sure enough, the “Secret” is something we have known for a very long time, it’s all about the law of attraction. Interesting that it is making its appearance in the year 2007, the year of attraction, as Dr. Peebles says. Some like the movie, some don’t. Its main focus is using the law of attraction to attract “stuff” into your life, about manifesting what you want in your life. However, at the end of the movie it does offer some thoughts on the fact that there is indeed a higher power in operation, whether you call it Universal Law, The Law of Cause and Effect, God, etc. So maybe it will in some way help some to come to realize that there is a higher power.

At any rate, there was one small segment in it that caught my attention, it demonstrated how we draw things to us one moment and push them away the next. I thought about it for a while and remembered that I have said on many occasions that my healing isn’t growing as fast as I would like because people are not ready for it, whenever I have asked the question this is what I have been told by Dr. Peebles.  So now I’m confused…
was I holding it at arms length with this thought?  

Well, this morning I was guided to listen to one of Dr. Peebles mini-lectures for this month. (GOD’S PERFECT TIMING) again. I went to the SBI Lecture Series page and pick one of the Mini Lectures at random (yeah, right) and this is part of the message I heard:

“When you surrender to your true light no longer are there shoulds or shouldn’ts, can or can’ts, no need whatsoever to manifest anything, there is only expansion. Learn to abide by your true light and then no longer will you feel a need to manifest anything because you will always be fulfilling your promise unto yourself, you will always be living your truth, it is there that suddenly everything seems to happen by magic…”

And it was, when I was attuned to relaxing, releasing, and surrendering to God’s perfect timing everything WAS happening by magic, growth, joy, fun, healing, so many things were happening magically.

I know that at every plateau there is a quiet time, a time for our expansion that is necessary for us to do the work we want to do, a time to trust God and His perfect plan for us, so relaxing, releasing, and surrendering to God’s perfect timing is where it’s at for me, it’s one heck of lot easier when you do J

I also know that everything is God and there is a reason for everything, some may love the movie “The Secret” and some may not, in any case it caused some deep thinking on my part and allowed me to experience GOD’S PERFECT TIMING once again in my life.

So…RELAX, RELEASE, AND SURRENDER TO GOD’S PERFECT TIMING, it’s awesome!

Addendum: Surrendering once again to God’s perfect timing…the following Wednesday, the day after I wrote this, three new people showed up at my Healing Through Wonder gathering held in our Clarkdale home every Wednesday, two visiting Sedona from Michigan and one who drove over from Prescott Valley. It was a beautiful and powerful experience for all. Matt 6:8…“your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”
